EuroEnergy has completed the acquisition of seven wind parks in Greece with a total installed capacity of 119MW. The wind parks, currently under construction, were previously owned by EDF EN Hellas and will be owned or managed by EuroEnergy.

The transaction involved two clusters of wind parks: the first comprises three projects that will be connected to the same substation in Fokida of 38MW combined installed capacity utilizing 12 GE 103-3.2MW wind turbines. The second cluster comprises two wind parks with a common connection point in Viotia of 58MW combined installed capacity utilizing 18 GE 103-3.2MW wind turbines; and a further project in Fokida of 14MW installed capacity utilizing Enercon E70-2.3MW wind turbines.

EuroEnergy has been responsible for the construction management of these projects including delivering the assets on time and on budget and managing relationships with local communities.

EuroEnergy’s first renewable energy investment in Greece came in 2008 and since then it has established a portfolio of wind and solar operating assets and a strong local management team with deep knowledge of the local renewables industry and excellent hands-on capabilities in developing and operating wind and solar assets.

The company seeks to expand its current operating asset base and its licensing portfolio in the Greek wind and solar market in the near future, as it is committed to continue its presence and investments in the Greek Renewable energy market and contribute to the growth of the Greek economy.
